Hi, my name is Christine Levesque-Martin. I am currently teaching grade 5 French Immersion at Gretna Green school in Anglophone North School District. I have been a teacher for almost a decade and I love my job! I am married and have my own two kids-a boy and a girl as well as a Boston Terrier named Mable.
I enjoy all things crafty and love using my creativity every day in the classroom. A few years ago I started dabbling in hydroponics and have since expanded it to five systems. I love inspiring kids when it comes to gardening and opening their eyes to new ways of growing fresh produce even if it’s -40 degrees celsius outside! Every year I have a handful of students who leave me and create their own gardens or volunteer at community gardens.
I try to keep experiences in the classroom different, fun, challenging and hands-on. I also don’t like to repeat the activities every year to keep it interesting and tailored to my students. My goal is always to learn something new and keep education fun!
